This Privacy Policy explains how Imperial Architecture & Decor ("we", "us", "our"), an architecture, construction, renovation and interior design practice based at 1617-Ground Floor, Satya Vihar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, collects and handles personal information when you use this website, send us an enquiry, book a site visit or apply for a job with us.

By using this website or submitting any form on it, you consent to the practices described below. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not submit your details through the site — you are always welcome to contact us by phone instead.

1. Information we collect

We only collect information that you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical data your browser sends automatically.

  • Enquiry forms. Your name, email address, phone number, subject and the message you write.
  • Site-visit and appointment bookings. Your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in, your preferred and alternate date and time, project type, indicative budget, site location or address, and any project description you provide.
  • Job applications. Your name, email address, phone number, the position applied for, your covering letter and the CV/resume document you upload.
  • Newsletter signup. Your email address only.
  • Technical data. The IP address a submission came from (stored with the record as a basic anti-spam and audit measure), together with standard web-server logs such as date and time of request, pages viewed, browser type and referring page.

We do not ask for, and request that you do not send us, sensitive personal information such as passwords, bank account or card numbers, Aadhaar or PAN details, or health information through the forms on this website. Payment and KYC details required for a signed project are collected separately and directly.

2. Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss your requirements.
  • To schedule, confirm and follow up on site visits and design consultations.
  • To prepare quotations, estimates and design proposals for you.
  • To assess job applications and contact shortlisted candidates.
  • To send project updates, and — only if you subscribed — occasional newsletters about our work. Every newsletter includes a way to unsubscribe.
  • To keep our own records, prevent spam and misuse, and comply with applicable Indian law, including tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

3. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and booking requests that do not become projects: up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
  • Records relating to a project we actually carried out: retained for the life of the engagement and for as long afterwards as we are required to keep contractual, tax and statutory records, or to defend a legal claim.
  • Job applications: up to 12 months from the date of application, so we can consider you for a similar opening, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
  • Web-server logs: a short rolling period, typically no more than 90 days.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses a strictly necessary session cookie so that pages and forms work correctly and to protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery. This cookie carries no marketing data and expires when you close your browser.

Some pages embed third-party content — for example a Google Maps frame showing our office, or web fonts and icon libraries loaded from Google Fonts and a public CDN. Those providers may set their own cookies or record your IP address when the content loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though embedded maps may not display.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is necessary, and only with:

  • Our web hosting and email service providers, who store the data on our behalf.
  • Consultants, structural engineers, contractors and vendors engaged on your project, where sharing your name, site address and contact number is needed to deliver the work.
  • Our accountants and professional advisors, where required.
  • Government authorities, courts or regulators where we are legally obliged to disclose information.

Everyone we share data with is expected to keep it confidential and use it only for the purpose we shared it for. We do not transfer your data outside India except where a service provider we use stores it abroad in the ordinary course of hosting or email.

6. How we protect it

Access to enquiry, booking and application records is restricted to authorised staff through a password-protected administration panel. Uploaded CVs are validated by file type and stored outside the publicly browsable part of the website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.

7. Your choices and how to request deletion

You may ask us at any time to:

  • tell you what personal information about you we hold;
  • correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date;
  • delete your enquiry, booking or job application record, including any CV you uploaded; or
  • stop sending you marketing emails.

Email theimperialarchitecture@gmail.com with the subject line "Data request" and tell us which of the above you want. Please write from the email address you used with us, or include enough detail (name, phone number, approximate date of the enquiry) for us to find the record. We aim to respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some information where the law requires it — if so, we will tell you which part and why.

8. Children

This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted details to us, contact us and we will delete the record.

9. Links to other websites

Our site links to social media profiles and may link to third-party resources. This policy does not cover those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies before sharing information with them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example if we add a new form or change a service provider. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Please check back occasionally.
